Spurs
Old cowboy wisdom…..never squat with yer spurs on.. Did you ever wonder why rodeo cowboys use spurs, and do they hurt the animals?
Cowboys use spurs in the roughstock event to help them stay on their horse or bull. They create a point of contact with the skin of the animal and help the cowboy maintain their balance. Rodeo spurs do not hurt the animals because they are relatively small and they are dull. Sharp spurs are strictly forbidden.
